Gender mainstreaming guidebook in Finnish
The Mainstreaming of Equality in Programme and Project Work guidebook for the use of authorities and various project actors was released on 1 December 2011 at a seminar in Helsinki titled ‘Gender Perspective in the Programme and Project Work of Structural Funds’.
The guidebook deals with the mainstreaming (integration) of equality in development programme and project work, which improves the impact of programmes and projects. The guidebook provides practical advice on how to mainstream equality in programme work and project activities successfully.
The guidebook was written on the basis of EU Structural Funds programmes, but it is recommended for all those involved in the planning, implementation and assessment of various development programmes and projects, as well as for authorities and elected officials. The guidebook was produced as part of the training and consultation project of the Gender Mainstreaming Development Programme Valtava by KoulutusAvain Oy and WoM Oy.
The Finnish-language version of the guidebook is available in print as well as in electronic format at www.tem.fi/valtava , www.koulutusavain.fi and www.wom.fi. The guidebook and the related training material will be added to these sites on 19 December 2011.
