PopUp group activities
PopUp group activities give an opportunity to participate in stimulating activities to persons in a weak position in the job market according to their interests and condition. PopUp group activities increase the person's individual experience of social inclusion and increase their wellbeing.
Implementation of the good practice
PopUp includes group activities of varying content and takes place once a week. The activity is organised by a project. The content of the group activities forms according to the wishes of the participants. At the same time, the recreational, culture and sports services in the participants' own municipality and the nearby municipalities become familiar to them. Participation in the PopUp activities is voluntary. Access to the activities is enabled by organising and offering transport.
- Functional ability, social inclusion and wellbeing increase
- Participants' motivation and agency increase
- Trust between the client and the instructor strengthens
- Observations are made on clients' functional ability
- Clients get to know the services and recreational resources in the nearby areas.
How to take advantage of the good practice
The practice primarily benefits the client. Group activities increase the client's wellbeing. PopUp activities also strengthen trust between the client and the instructor. This promotes commitment, which also activates the client to take care of possible other matters related to employment.
